This happens far to much to be just accidents, these are wrongful actions, unlawful even, our police agencies have all the resources they can get their hands on and their is absolutely no excuse for mishaps like these, 0 tolerance for mistakes should be the day here, especially with innocent people involved. They could have killed what appears to be an innocent life, then what, it was a mistake? Mistakes are made by unpredictable circumstances, wrongs are made from deliberate miscalculations when you knew of the dangers to both to yourself and the victims without careful insuring the right people are targeted and committed to those actions without properly insuring that you will not hurt innocent people, this goes to both civilians and our police forces. Your bloody professionals...

SWAT teams in most counties of Maryland and the DC Metro area are mostly full of veterans back from multiple tours in either Iraq or Afghanistan. They’re not ready for the transition to police duties far as I’m concerned. They have my utmost respect as veterans, but they are just too combat-effective and almost all have PTSD issues that deem them hazardous to themselves and all those around them. SWAT duties on the streets of US cities and towns should be handled byexperienced law enforcement officers who have regular psyche evaluations, urine tests etc. The NYPD does it to it’s ESU people. That’s how that city is cleaning up it’s image of having trigger happy cops. The mayors of these towns need to get their police to adhere to strict rules of engagement. As SWAT doesn’t get called in unless the first responder deems it necessary for them, the powers that be need to impress on those clowns to make sure there is a valid reason for a tactical team i.e Being shot at by multiple hostiles etc.
They are supposed to be TRAINED to be able to tell if someone is attacking them or….???
I do hope they hang the man that killed an innocent.
